New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday approved the appointment of IAS officer Vishal Gupta (IAS:2012:GJ) as the Private Secretary to Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister for Culture & Tourism.
The appointment has been made for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge, or on a co-terminus basis, or until further orders – whichever is earlier.
Role to Support Ministerial Functions in Culture & Tourism
Mr. Gupta, a Gujarat cadre officer from the 2012 batch, is expected to play a key role in supporting the Minister’s office in strategic planning, coordination of policy matters, and high-level administrative functioning across the Ministries of Culture and Tourism. His prior experience in governance and administration is expected to contribute significantly to the ministerial mandate.
IPS Officer Dinesh Kumar P Cleared for Central Deputation
In a separate order, IPS officer Dinesh Kumar P (UP:2009), currently serving as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Basti Range, Basti, has been approved for Central Deputation.
His central posting details are awaited and will be notified in due course. Deputation to central ministries or agencies is a routine administrative measure to bring diverse policing experience to national-level law enforcement or policy roles.
