Rajeev Ranjan Kumar, an Indian Defence Account Service (IDAS) officer, was appointed as the director in the Ministry of Textiles on Tuesday. The appointment was made through an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).
Mr. Kumar was appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme. The term is for five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders.
He is an Indian Defence Account Service Officer of 2009 batch. The recommendation for the Central deputation was made by the Ministry of Defence. He was immediately relieved to take up the charge as the Director in Ministry of Textiles.
