2011-batch Karnataka cadre Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer, Mr. D Mahesh Kumar, who is currently serving as Deputy Director at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) at the Deputy Secretary level, has been re-designated as Deputy Director (Senior) with his post upgraded to the Director level.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (February 24, 2025), the competent authority has approved the upgradation of Mr. Kumar’s post to the Director level, effective from the date he assumes charge of the re-designated post. His tenure will continue until November 11, 2029, marking a total period of five years under the Central Staffing Scheme. Notably, Mr. D Mahesh Kumar began his Central deputation tenure on November 12, 2024.
Similarly, 2011-batch Karnataka cadre IFoS officer, Ms. Deep Jagdip Contractor, who is currently serving as Deputy Director at LBSNAA at the Deputy Secretary level, has also been re-designated as Deputy Director (Senior) with her post upgraded to the Director level.
As per the DoPT order, her upgradation to the Director level is effective from the date she assumes charge of the re-designated post, and her tenure will continue until November 11, 2029, under the Central Staffing Scheme.
