Mr. Hemant Kumar Meena, an Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of the 2011 batch from the Maharashtra cadre, has been re-designated as Director at NITI Aayog under the Central Staffing Scheme. He was previously serving as Deputy Secretary in the same organization.

This re-designation is effective from the date he assumes charge of the post and will continue until August 4, 2025, marking a combined tenure of seven years outside his parent cadre. This move highlights Mr. Meena’s ongoing contributions to policy formulation and implementation at the national level.
