Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir government issued orders on Monday for the transfer and posting of seven Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers in the Department of Forest, Ecology, and Environment, with immediate effect. The reshuffle aims to streamline departmental functioning and ensure effective forest management across the region.
Key Transfers and New Postings
Dr. V S Senthil Kumar, IFS (AGMUT: 2005), previously awaiting orders of adjustment, has been appointed Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF), Jammu, replacing Dr. M K Kumar. In addition, he will hold the charge of Regional Director, Social Forestry, Jammu.
Dr. M K Kumar, IFS (AGMUT: 2006), who was serving as CCF Jammu, has been transferred to the post of Chief Conservator of Forests, Working Plan, Research & Training, J&K, filling an existing vacancy.
Dr. K S Jayachandran, IFS (AGMUT: 2006), currently Chief Conservator of Forests/Nodal Officer (Forest Conservation Act), will also take on the additional responsibility as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CAMPA (Compensatory Afforestation Management and Planning Authority), J&K.
Other Postings
R Gopinath, IFS (AGMUT: 2009), awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as Member-Secretary of the Pollution Control Committee, J&K, replacing Ghan Shayam Singh, JKAS, who has been directed to report to the General Administration Department for further posting.
Ashish Bishnoi, IFS (AGMUT: 2023), awaiting orders of adjustment, is posted as Assistant Conservator of Forests with the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests/Head of Forest Force (HoFF), J&K.
Atharva Tiwari, IFS (AGMUT: 2023), also awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as Assistant Conservator of Forests with the Chief Conservator of Forests, Kashmir.
Jhansi N, IFS (AGMUT: 2023), awaiting orders of adjustment, is posted as Assistant Conservator of Forests with the Chief Conservator of Forests, Jammu.
