Former Additional Director of Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dehradun, Mr Sushil Kumar Awasthi, a 1991-batch IFS officer, has been elected President of Indian Forest Service Officers Association. In the election for IFSOA (Central Unit) office bearers held on Saturday in New Delhi, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF), Delhi, Dr Suneesh Buxy, a 1997-batch IFS officer was elected the general secretary. The outgoing president, Dr SP Yadav was unanimously nominated as Patron of the monolith organisation.

DCF Delhi Mr Saurabh Sharma, a 2009-batch officer has been elected Joint Secretary while Ms Suveena Thakur, a 2014-batch officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre posted in the headquarters as Assistant IGF (RT) has been elected the Treasurer. Dr Dhiraj Mittal, a 2012-batch officer posted on MoEF &CC as AIG (FC) will be the Literary Secretary.

Apart from it, 10 New Executive Committee members have been appointed too. The names of them are given below-

Keshav Kumar, an IFS officer of 2002 batch

Ms Alka Bhargava, an IFS officer of 1987 batch

Banumathi G., an IFS officer of 2009 batch

Sidramappa M.C., an IFS officer of 2007 batch of Nagaland cadre
