Vijay Singh, an Indian Forest Service officer from the 2011 Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as Director in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. This decision follows an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on March 11, 2025.
The re-designation elevates Mr. Singh’s role from Deputy Secretary to Director, effective immediately upon assuming charge of his new position. This appointment is valid until November 27, 2029, or until further orders are issued, whichever comes first.
