Manish V Desai, the Principal Director General of the Central Bureau of Communication, has been appointed as the new Principal DG of the Press Information Bureau (PIB). In his new role, the 1989-batch Indian Information Service (IIS) officer will also be the Centre’s principal spokesperson.
During his career spanning nearly three decades, Mr. Desai has worked in various media units of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, including DAVP, AIR News, Prasar Bharati, and the IIMC.
At the CBC, Mr. Desai will be replaced by Dhirendra Ojha, a 1990-batch IIS officer.
