In addition, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹637 crore during a public event organized by the district administration.

Boosting Infrastructure and ‘Ease of Living’ in Bharuch

The ₹637 crore development package includes road upgradation projects worth ₹576 crore, along with new primary health centres, school classrooms, taluka sports complexes, and underground drainage infrastructure aimed at improving living conditions and public amenities across the district.

Chief Minister Patel reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enhancing the ‘Ease of Living’ and credited the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fast-tracking development under a policy of governance that focuses on infrastructure, local manufacturing, and people-centric initiatives.

Dahej and Bharuch: Emerging Industrial Powerhouses

Speaking on the region’s transformation, the Chief Minister highlighted how the Bharuch-Ankleshwar-Jhagadia-Dahej corridor has evolved into an integrated industrial belt, powered by the efforts of the double-engine government (Centre + State). These initiatives, he said, are rapidly strengthening Bharuch’s industrial and economic foundation.

Support for Local Manufacturing and Atmanirbhar Bharat

Chief Minister Patel endorsed the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative championed by the Prime Minister, emphasizing a renewed focus on swadeshi production and self-reliance. He praised the Digital India movement for its role in accelerating growth in IT and services, and projected that India is on a clear path toward becoming the world’s third-largest economy.

Bharuch in Emerging Surat Economic Region

The CM also announced that Bharuch has been included in the emerging Surat Economic Region, as identified by NITI Aayog. He shared that development in sectors like industry, tourism, infrastructure, and connectivity will receive special focus as part of this inclusion.

He said the state aims to align its growth trajectory with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, and emphasized the role of Bharuch in realizing that dream through:

  • ‘Catch the Rain’ campaign
  • ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ tree-planting initiative
  • Swachhata Abhiyan
  • Obesity-Free India campaign

Benefits Distributed to Local Beneficiaries
