New Delhi: India Energy Week (IEW 2026) is set to emerge as the world’s first major international energy event of the year, bringing together global policymakers, energy ministers, CEOs, investors, and technology leaders to discuss energy security, clean energy transition, and strategic business collaborations. The four-day event will be held from January 27 to 30, 2026, at ONGC ATI, Goa.
Largest Edition Yet with Record Participation
IEW 2026 is expected to be the largest edition so far, attracting over 75,000 delegates, more than 600 exhibitors, including 180 international participants, over 120 conference sessions, and nearly 500 global speakers. The scale of participation reflects India’s rising leadership role in global energy dialogue and its growing influence in shaping international energy policy and investments.
Thematic Exhibition Zones Highlight Innovation and Sustainability
The exhibition will be organized across 11 thematic zones, hosted by leading public sector undertakings. Key focus areas include:
- Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence
- Hydrogen and Renewable Energy
- Petrochemicals and Biofuels
- LNG Ecosystem and City Gas Distribution
- Make in India initiatives and Net-Zero solutions
New additions this year include a Nuclear Energy Zone and a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Zone, highlighting India’s commitment to sustainable energy innovation.
Ministerial Participation and Strategic Partnerships
Seventeen ministers and deputy ministers from countries including UAE, Canada, Netherlands, Oman, Brunei, Myanmar, and Tanzania are confirmed to attend. International organizations such as the International Energy Forum (IEF), BIMSTEC, and the Eurasian Economic Union will also participate.
The event will facilitate high-level bilateral and multilateral discussions, including the Prime Minister’s Roundtable with global CEOs, India-Arab Energy Dialogue, India-Japan and India-Netherlands energy roundtables, and forums to strengthen India-US energy cooperation.
Major Business Agreements and Strategic MoUs
IEW 2026 will also be a platform for major business deals, including:
- Shipbuilding contracts involving ONGC, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, and Samsung Heavy Industries
- Long-term crude oil supply agreement between BPCL and Petrobras worth USD 780 million
- Multiple strategic MoUs on LNG sourcing, upstream collaborations, and a proposed 200 KTPA Sustainable Aviation Fuel project in Odisha
Focus on Innovation and Startups
The event will emphasize innovation and entrepreneurship, featuring initiatives such as Avinya 2026, Vasudha 3.0, and a national-level energy hackathon involving leading IITs. Reports such as the “India Bioenergy Outlook 2030” by IEA and PPAC will also be launched.
