New Delhi: In a public reassurance amid concerns arising from global geopolitical developments, Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has said that domestic LPG supply remains stable and normal across the country, with uninterrupted deliveries continuing at regular levels.
In an official press release, the public sector oil major stated that India’s LPG supply chain is under close monitoring and that domestic household consumption continues to receive the highest operational priority, despite volatility in international energy markets.
The company emphasized its commitment to maintaining uninterrupted services, ensuring that households across India do not face any disruption in cooking gas availability.

28 Lakh LPG Cylinders Delivered Daily Across the Country
According to IndianOil, the company is currently delivering around 28 lakh LPG cylinders every day, a figure consistent with normal delivery levels before recent geopolitical tensions began affecting global energy markets.
Officials confirmed that:
- There is no shortage of LPG in the country
- Current supply levels are adequate to meet domestic demand
- Household LPG distribution has not been impacted, with routine delivery schedules maintained across urban and rural regions
Domestic LPG Given Highest Priority
IndianOil said that domestic LPG remains the top priority in supply planning and logistics management.
Even as international crude and gas markets face pressure, domestic cooking gas distribution is insulated through:
- Continuous monitoring of stock positions
- Oversight of transportation systems
- Distributor-level inventory management
Customers Asked to Avoid Panic Booking and Stocking
The corporation urged consumers not to rush to LPG agencies or make unnecessary repeat bookings. Specifically, IndianOil advised customers:
- Not to queue outside LPG distributorships
- Not to panic book refill cylinders
- Not to stock extra cylinders unnecessarily
- Not to believe rumors circulating through informal channels
Officials stressed that supply remains sufficient and panic behavior could create avoidable local pressure in distribution systems.
87% LPG Bookings Now Coming Through Digital Platforms
IndianOil highlighted that digital systems are helping ensure smoother LPG access nationwide.
Currently, nearly 87 percent of LPG refill bookings are being made through digital channels, including:
- SMS booking
- IVRS systems
- Online digital platforms
Consumers are encouraged to continue using these digital methods for faster and more efficient service.
Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) Ensures Safe Distribution
The company confirmed that LPG deliveries continue through Delivery Authentication Code (DAC OTP) verification, ensuring cylinders are delivered only to the registered consumer, reducing delivery fraud and diversion.
Officials said that DAC-based delivery has strengthened transparency in last-mile distribution.
IndianOil Monitoring Customer Complaints Through Social Media
IndianOil is actively tracking customer concerns on social media and responding quickly. Indane LPG customers requiring support can contact:
Complaints related to delivery delays, distributor conduct, or booking issues are addressed on priority.
Action Against LPG Distributors for Malpractices
IndianOil acknowledged receiving complaints regarding malpractices by certain LPG distributors. To tackle black marketing and hoarding, the corporation has deployed multiple cross-functional inspection teams.
Inspection Action So Far:
- More than 7,500 surprise inspections conducted
- Action taken against 141 LPG distributors
- 5 distributors suspended
Strict monitoring will continue to prevent diversion of domestic LPG.
Large-Scale Raids Conducted with State Governments
IndianOil confirmed collaboration with state administrations to curb illegal LPG trade.
Enforcement Action Across India:
- Around 68,000 raids conducted
- 855 FIRs registered
- More than 48,000 cylinders seized
These measures aim to stop hoarding and unauthorized commercial use of domestic cylinders.
IndianOil Reassures Indane Customers Nationwide
The corporation reiterated that all Indane customers should remain assured that LPG availability is stable and sufficient.
