New Delhi: The Government of India on Friday issued multiple notifications regarding key appointments and redesignations across various ministries and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
These include the elevation of IPS officer Ghanshyam Bansal and the appointment of senior executives to Director-level roles in companies like BHEL, Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), Balmer Lawrie, and SECL.
Ghanshyam Bansal (IPS) Re-designated as Director, NCLAT
Mr Bansal (IPS: 2011: AGMUT), currently serving as Financial Adviser in the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) at the Deputy Secretary level, has been re-designated to the Director level.
- His central deputation has been extended until May 25, 2028.
- Bansal has been on central deputation since May 26, 2023.
Amal Kumar Chakrabarty Appointed Director (Finance), Troop Comforts Ltd (TCL)
Mr Chakrabarty, CFO of BHEL, has been appointed as Director (Finance) in Troop Comforts Limited (TCL), a key defence PSU.
Manas Kaviraj Takes Charge as Director (HR), AWEIL
Mr Kaviraj, Senior Executive Director at NBCC (India) Ltd, has been selected as Director (Human Resources) at Advanced Weapons & Equipment India Limited (AWEIL).
Romon Sebastian Louis Appointed Director (Services Business), Balmer Lawrie
Mr Louis, Executive Director of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd (BLC), has been appointed as Director (Services Business) for a period of five years, or until his superannuation.
New Leadership at Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL)
Two senior appointments have been made at Cochin Shipyard Limited:
- Dr. Harikrishnan S, Executive Director, has been appointed Director (Operations) until his superannuation on May 31, 2029.
- Rajesh Gopalakrishnan, also Executive Director at CSL, will serve as Director (Technical) for a period of five years, or until his superannuation.
Ramesh Chandra Mohapatra Appointed Director (Technical), SECL
Mr Mohapatra, currently General Manager at Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), has been appointed Director (Technical) at South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL).
He will serve until his superannuation on May 31, 2029.
