Ms. Monika Bhutunguru (IPS) has been recently appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. Her appointment, made under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS), will be for a period of four years, starting from the date she assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever comes first.
Ms. Monika is a 2014-batch officer of the IPS from the Himachal Pradesh cadre and was nominated for central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs. She had earlier served as the Superintendent of Police of Shimla.
