New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has cleared the empanelment of 16 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of various cadres for holding senior positions in the central government. These officers are now eligible for appointment to posts of Additional Director General (ADG) and ADG Equivalent in various central government departments.
From Tamil Nadu, five officers have been empanelled. Uttar Pradesh has four officers on the list, while Bihar is represented by three officers. Gujarat, Jharkhand, Odisha, Haryana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Tripura are each represented by one officer each.
The empanelled officers, whose experience spans across several states, have demonstrated leadership and excellence in policing.
