Shimla: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday transferred three Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and two Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPPS) officers, as per an official notification issued by the state.
Among the major changes, 2019-batch IPS officer Amit Yadav, who was serving as Commandant of the 5th India Reserve Battalion (IRBn) in Bassi, Bilaspur, has been appointed Superintendent of Police (SP), Una. He replaces Rakesh Singh (2017 batch IPS officer), who has now been posted as SP (Leave Reserve) at Police Headquarters, Shimla.
Rajesh Verma, SP, Communication and Technical Services (C&TS), has been reassigned as SP (CWO) at Police Headquarters in Shimla.
In the HPPS cadre, 2020-batch officer Raj Kumar, currently posted as Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) in Lahaul and Spiti district at Keylong, has been transferred to the role of Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) at Dadasiba in Kangra district.
Additionally, Rashmi Sharma, a 2022-batch HPPS officer who was awaiting posting at the Police Headquarters, has been appointed as DSP (Headquarters) in Keylong, Lahaul and Spiti.
The transfers take immediate effect.
