The central government has promoted four officers to the rank of Inspector General (IG) in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Central Police Organizations (CPOs). These officers, previously serving as Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs), were recently empanelled for IG-level positions on January 2, 2025.
List of Promotions:
- Ms. Parul Kush, a 2004-batch IPS officer of the West Bengal cadre, has been promoted to IG, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
- Mr. Shashank Anand, a 2006-batch IPS officer of the Haryana cadre, has been promoted as IG, Border Security Force (BSF).
- Mr. Rajendra Narayan Das, a 2006-batch IPS officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, has been promoted as IG, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
- Ms. Rani Bindu, a 2006-batch IPS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been promoted as IG, Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D).
These appointments reflect the government’s efforts to strengthen leadership in the CAPFs and CPOs, ensuring robust administration and operational efficiency.
