The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) gave the nod to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT)’s proposal for inducting the senior IPS officer, Mr. Anurag Kumar (1994 batch Assam-Meghalaya cadre), as the Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on a lateral shift basis from BPR&D for a combined tenure of five years, which extends up to February 24, 2027.
