The deputation tenure of 1997 batch IPS officer Raghubir Lal of UP cadre as Joint Secretary (Security) (IG level) in the Lok Sabha Secretariat has been extended for a period of one year two days. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (15.11.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs to extend the deputation tenure of Mr. Lal for a period of one years two days beyond 28.09.2022 and upto 30.09.2023 (total tenure 8 years and 2 days) in relaxation of the IPS Tenure Policy.
