The Union government has recently repatriated IPS Shantanu Sinha back to his parent cadre. Officer Sinha, a 2009-batch Karnataka cadre IAS officer, had been training at the Institute of Defence Studies & Analysis. Mr. Sinha had earlier served as the SP of the Dakshina Kannada district.
