Amidst a recent development, a 2000 batch IPS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, Mr. Umesh Chander Datta, presently posted as the Inspector General of Police in Jaipur Range, was mandated to take charge as the Inspector General in the Special Protection Group (SPG) for a tenure of five years.
