Director General of Police of Jammu & Kashmir, Mr. R R Swain (1991 batch IPS), authorised the disbursement of Rs. 2.97 crores as retirement gift/benefit to 297 retiring police personnel of J&K Police.
The fund shall be disbursed out of the Contributory Police Welfare Fund as a retirement gift of Rs. 1 lakh each for 11 gazetted officers, 227 non-gazetted officers, 49 lower subordinates, and 10 personnel of different units and wings of the department.
In addition, a valedictory gift of Rs. 40 thousand (out of the SPOs’ Contributory Fund) was sanctioned to benefit those SPOs who are no longer in service after attaining the age of 60 years.
