In accordance with a circular issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), IPS Sonawane Rishikesh Bhagwan has been appointed the Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a five-year term. The competent authority has approved the induction of Officer Bhagwan to the post for a period of five years or until further orders whichever is earlier.
Mr. Sonawane Rishikesh Bhagwan, a 2015-batch IPS officer of the Karnataka cadre, had earlier served as the SP of Dakshin Kannada.
