Odisha: Former Top Cop Santosh Kumar Upadhyay Appointed Chairman of OPRB

Mr. Santosh Kumar Upadhyay, a retired IPS officer of the 1988 batch, had previously served as the Director General of Fire Services and Commandant General of Home Guards

On March 12th, the government of Odisha Government, via a circular issued by its Home Department, mandated a retired IPS officer, Mr. Santosh Kumar Upadhyay (1988 batch), to assume office as the Chairman of Odisha Police Recruitment Board, relieving Mr. Rajesh Kumar (1998 batch IPS officer) of his additional charge.

Officer Upadhyay shall assume his new designation for two years from the date of his joining or until further orders, whichever transpires earlier. Officer Upadhyay had previously served as the Director General of Fire Services and Commandant General of Home Guards during his service years.
