Sanjukta Parashar, an IPS officer from the 2006 batch of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, has been appointed as the Inspector General of Police, CID-I, Assam, Ulubari, Guwahati. She previously served as the Inspector General of Police, CID, Assam, at the same location.
Known for her exemplary service, Parashar also held the position of Deputy Inspector General with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in New Delhi during her central deputation.
An alumnus of the Indian Police Service, Parashar secured the 85th rank in the All India Civil Services Examination of 2006. Her career began with a challenging assignment as Assistant Commandant in Makum, Assam, where she quickly gained recognition for her fearless approach. She later played a pivotal role in addressing the conflict between Bangladeshis and Bodos in Udalguri, Assam, earning widespread acclaim for her leadership and bravery.
