Four seasoned Indian Police Service officers from the AGMUT cadre will hang their gloves after serving in the country’s premium police service for decades. Among the superannuated officers is the DGP of Jammu & Kashmir, IPS RR Swain (1991 batch). Officer Swain will be succeeded by IPS Nalin Prabhat (1992-batch IPS officer) from October 1st.
The other superannuated Top Cops are:
- IPS Tajendra Singh Luthra (1990 batch) earlier served as an Inspector General of Police in the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D);
- IPS CK Mein (2004 batch) earlier served in the rank of Inspector General of Police (IGP);
- IPS Neihcungnunga.
