New Delhi: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) and the Himachal Pradesh Tourist Development Corporation (HPTDC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly promote and develop tour packages across Himachal Pradesh, aiming to boost tourism in the scenic hill state.
Seamless Travel Experience for Tourists
The collaboration seeks to make travel to Himachal Pradesh more seamless, convenient, and enriching by integrating rail connectivity, comfortable accommodation, and curated sightseeing experiences. The partnership is expected to offer end-to-end travel solutions for tourists, enhancing their overall travel experience in the state.

MoU Signing Ceremony
The MoU was signed by Mr. Harjot Singh Sandhu, Chief Regional Manager (CRM), IRCTC Chandigarh, and Mr. Anil Taneja, General Manager, HPTDC, in the presence of Mr. Rajiv Kumar, Managing Director, HPTDC, along with senior officials from both organisations.
The agreement marks a significant step towards strengthening tourism infrastructure and promoting Himachal Pradesh as a preferred travel destination.
Boost to Tourism in Himachal Pradesh
Through this partnership, IRCTC and HPTDC will jointly design and market attractive tour packages covering popular destinations in Himachal Pradesh. The initiative is expected to improve tourist inflow, support local economies, and contribute to the sustainable development of tourism in the region.
