Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director of the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA), held crucial discussions with Odisha’s Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo on the agency’s pivotal role in advancing renewable energy financing and sustainable development.
The meetings centered on IREDA’s significant contributions nationwide in financing renewable energy projects. Das highlighted the agency’s initiatives aimed at promoting clean energy and outlined potential avenues for IREDA to further bolster Odisha’s renewable energy sector through strategic financing. Discussions particularly focused on tapping Odisha’s potential in hydroelectric power, floating solar projects, solar component manufacturing, green hydrogen, green ammonia, and related areas crucial for the state’s green energy objectives.
Chief Minister Majhi and Deputy Chief Minister Deo applauded IREDA’s impressive growth trajectory and recognized its status as India’s foremost financing entity dedicated to green energy development. Deo, who also oversees the Energy Department, emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to achieve sustainable energy goals in Odisha.
IREDA’s Director (Finance), Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, also participated in the discussions, reaffirming the agency’s commitment to facilitating the rapid development of renewable energy infrastructure across the country.
