The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) has announced the reappointment of Shabdsharan N Brahmbhatt and Dr. CM Jodidhar as Independent Directors on its Board. Their tenure, effective from March 28, will last for one year, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This reappointment has been confirmed by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, on behalf of the President of India, to the Board of the Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE).
Brahmbhatt, who holds degrees in both Law and Commerce, brings a rich background as a Social Worker and Lawyer. Dr. Jodidhar, with over 23 years of experience in medicine, holds a Doctor of Medicine degree in Internal Medicine from Kathmandu University, Nepal. He currently serves as a Consultant Physician and Diabetologist at Narayan Hospital, Bengaluru.
Both individuals have previously served as Independent Directors on IREDA’s Board for three years, contributing significantly to the company’s governance and strategic initiatives. They have held prominent roles as Chairpersons and Members of various Board-level committees, driving the company’s growth and progress.
Welcoming their return, IREDA CMD Pradip Kumar Das expressed, “We are delighted to have Brahmbhatt and Dr. Jodidhar rejoin our Board. Their extensive experience and leadership will further strengthen IREDA’s corporate governance and strategic vision, especially as we continue driving India’s renewable energy transition.”
