IRS Amand Shah Promoted to Principal Chief Commissioner of Customs & Indirect Taxes

Shah's regular posting will be decided in due course, following approval from the Competent Authority.

Amand Shah (IRS-C&IT: 1991) has been promoted and empanelled to the prestigious grade of Principal Chief Commissioner of Customs & Indirect Taxes in the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes). He will now hold a position in Level 17 of the Pay Matrix (HAG).

Shah’s regular posting will be decided in due course, following approval from the Competent Authority. Until then, he will assume the charge of his new role on an in situ basis, continuing his duties without a formal transfer.

This promotion marks a significant step in Shah’s distinguished career in the Indian Revenue Service, further strengthening his leadership within the Customs and Indirect Taxes department.
