Mr. Pazhaniyandi Velayudhan Pillai, an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer from the 2009 batch, has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFC), Delhi, under the Central Staffing Scheme. The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) issued his appointment order on February 14, 2025.
Recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Revenue, Pillai will serve as Director for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He has been instructed to relinquish his current duties immediately and assume his new position at the MoEFC in Delhi.
