New Delhi: In a key administrative move, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has promoted 14 senior officers of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) to the post of Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCIT) for the panel year 2025, with effect from July 1, 2025.
Officers Appointed as CCIT (OSD)
Following their promotion, these officers will be designated as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Officer on Special Duty) in their respective regions until formal posting orders are issued. During this interim period, they will continue to discharge duties in their current roles, except for Sanjay Kumar, who will assume a different responsibility as per separate instructions.
