Mr. Swapnil S Patil, a 2011-batch IRS (Income Tax) officer, currently serving as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Rural Development, Mr. Kamlesh Paswan, has been re-designated from Private Secretary (Deputy Secretary level) to Private Secretary (Director level).
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued an order on Friday, 20 December 2024, approving the re-designation within the same minister’s office. The re-designation is effective from the date Mr. Patil assumes charge of the new role.
The re-designation will remain valid until 9 August 2027, or on a co-terminus basis with the tenure of the Minister, or until Mr. Patil concludes his role as Private Secretary, or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.
Mr. Swapnil S Patil began his central deputation on 10 August 2022. His re-designation reflects the competent authority’s recognition of his contributions and responsibilities within the Ministry of Rural Development.
