Mr. Narain SN (2011-batch IRTS officer), currently serving as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas & Tourism, Mr. Suresh Gopi, at the Deputy Secretary level, has been re-designated as Director in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on February 10, 2025, his re-designation is effective from the date of assuming charge and will remain valid until December 27, 2026, or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) Narain SN has been on central deputation since December 28, 2020, and his elevation reflects his continued role in policy and administrative affairs within the ministry.
