In a recent development, the Jammu & Kashmir administration, under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has made key administrative appointments to streamline departmental responsibilities.
According to a directive issued by Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner Secretary of the General Administration Department, several senior IAS officers have been assigned additional charges. The names and additional charges are as follows:
- Shaleen Kabra, IAS currently serving as Financial Commissioner in the Jal Shakti Department, will now also oversee the Estates Department as Administrative Secretary.
- Dheeraj Gupta, IAS the Financial Commissioner for Forest, Ecology, and Environment, has been tasked with the Information Technology Department.
- Suresh Kumar Gupta, IFS, Principal Secretary of the Culture Department, will concurrently handle the School Education Department.
- Additionally, Dr. Rashmi Singh, IAS serving as Commissioner/Secretary in the Hospitality & Protocol Department, will take on the role of Administrative Secretary for Higher Education, alongside her current responsibilities as Principal Resident Commissioner in New Delhi.
These assignments are effective immediately and aim to optimize administrative efficiency across various sectors in the union territory.
