Srinagar: In a fresh administrative reshuffle, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the transfer and posting of seven IAS and JKAS officers with immediate effect, assigning new responsibilities across key departments in the Union Territory.
The order, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), includes important changes in the Food, Civil Supplies, Agriculture, Tourism, Information and district administration departments.
Shreya Singhal Given Additional Charge of Director Information
Among the key appointments, Shreya Singhal, IAS (AGMUT: 2020), currently serving as Managing Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation and holding additional charge as CEO of JK ERA, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Director, Information, Jammu and Kashmir.
She will formally assume charge from April 1, 2026, while continuing her existing assignments.
This places her in charge of one of the most visible communication departments in the Union Territory administration.
Nazim Zai Khan Posted as Director, Food Supplies Kashmir
Nazim Zai Khan, IAS (AGMUT: 2013), who was serving as Mission Director for Mission Vatsalya/Shakti (ICPS), has been transferred and posted as Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Kashmir.
He replaces Dr Sagar Doifode Dattatray in the department.
The posting gives Khan responsibility over food distribution, rationing systems and consumer affairs administration in the Kashmir division.
Dr Sagar Doifode Shifted to Agriculture Production Department
Dr Sagar Doifode Dattatray, IAS (AGMUT: 2014) has been transferred and appointed as Special Secretary to Government, Agriculture Production Department.
In addition, he has been assigned two major extra responsibilities:
- Mission Director, Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP)
- Mission Director, Jammu and Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement Project (JKCIP)
These assignments place him at the centre of agricultural reform and development planning in Jammu and Kashmir.
Amit Gupta Posted as SDM Pahalgam
Amit Gupta, IAS (AGMUT: 2023), who was awaiting adjustment, has now been posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Pahalgam.
The posting is significant given Pahalgam’s administrative sensitivity and tourism importance.
Rajesh Kumar Shavan Appointed Director Food Supplies Jammu
Rajesh Kumar Shavan, JKAS, who was serving as Special Secretary in the Tribal Affairs Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Jammu.
He replaces Rifat Kohli, JKAS, who has been directed to await further orders in the General Administration Department.
This gives Shavan charge of food supply administration for the Jammu division.
Mahima Madan Relieved of Additional Delhi Assignment
The reshuffle also includes Mahima Madan, IAS (AGMUT: 2021), who has been relieved of her additional charge as Additional Secretary, Resident Commission, New Delhi.
She will continue in her primary assignment without the extra Delhi-linked responsibility.

Officials indicated that the reshuffle has been carried out in the interest of administrative efficiency and departmental strengthening.
