A state-level appointment letter distribution ceremony was held at the Jharkhand Mantralaya on Tuesday, marking another major step by the state government to bolster the education system. Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren handed over appointment letters to 300 successful candidates selected through the Assistant Professor Appointment Examination.
Also present at the ceremony was Labour Employment Minister Mr. Sanjay Yadav, who joined in congratulating and distributing letters to the newly appointed educators. Among the appointees, 131 are graduate trained, and 170 are intermediate trained candidates.
CM Emphasizes Role of Teachers in Shaping Jharkhand’s Future
Addressing the newly appointed teachers, Mr. Soren said, “Education is the true strength of the state. In today’s digital era, marked by artificial intelligence and rapid technological change, intellectual development can only be ensured through quality education.”
He emphasized the government’s vision of transforming Jharkhand from a ‘labourer state’ into a ‘knowledge hub’, and called upon the teachers to take ownership of their responsibility. “Your salary comes from public funds. You owe it to the people to provide the best education to their children,” he asserted.
CM Schools of Excellence Gaining Public Trust
Mr. Soren also highlighted the growing success of CM Schools of Excellence, where a large number of students are now enrolling. He noted a significant trend: parents are withdrawing their children from private schools and opting for government-run Excellence Schools.
“This reflects a rising trust in the public education system, which we aim to strengthen further. Our goal is to make quality education accessible for all and to eliminate the monopoly of private schools,” said Mr. Soren.
Launch of Project-Based Learning for Classes 6 to 12
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister also launched the Project-Based Learning Program for classes 6 to 12 in schools across Jharkhand. This program is part of a broader strategy under the National Education Policy (NEP) to make education more skill-oriented and application-based.
School Education Secretary Mr. Uma Shankar Singh delivered the welcome speech, while Project Director Mr. Sanjay Ranjan offered the vote of thanks.
Minister Yadav: “Education is the Biggest Capital”
Labour Employment Minister Mr. Sanjay Yadav, in his address, described education as “the biggest capital one can own.” He remarked, “Wealth may be inherited, but identity is created through knowledge.”
He praised the newly appointed teachers and urged them to contribute meaningfully to the educational and intellectual development of the state’s youth.
A Vision for Inclusive, Equitable, and Quality Education
This appointment drive, alongside the launch of innovative learning programs, reflects the Jharkhand government’s continued efforts to reform the education system from the ground up. By prioritizing teacher recruitment, modern learning methods, and trust-building in public education, the state is laying a strong foundation for future generations.
