Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a high-level review meeting at the CM’s residence on Kanke Road to assess preparations for the state delegation’s upcoming visits to the World Economic Forum in Davos and the United Kingdom (London) from January 18 to 26, 2026. The meeting focused on planning, logistics, and strategic presentation of Jharkhand’s opportunities on the global stage.
Officials briefed the Chief Minister on the 11-member Jharkhand delegation, which will participate in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) at Davos. This will mark the first time the state will showcase its investment potential, industrial strength, mineral resources, and sustainable development initiatives at such a prestigious international platform. The conference is expected to host leading global investors, industry leaders, and dignitaries.
Showcasing Jharkhand on Global Platforms
During the Davos visit, Jharkhand plans to highlight its mineral wealth, industrial infrastructure, tourism potential, and investment opportunities to attract multinational interest. The delegation will also emphasize the state’s sustainable development practices and strategic growth plans to position Jharkhand as a preferred destination for investors and industrial collaboration.
Following the Davos meeting, the delegation will travel to the United Kingdom (London) to explore institutional, academic, and investment-focused collaborations. The London visit will include policy and knowledge-based discussions as well as engagement with the Indian diaspora, aiming to foster partnerships and strengthen global networks for Jharkhand.
CM directs smooth and effective preparations
Chief Minister Soren instructed officials to ensure that all arrangements for both visits are well-coordinated and executed efficiently. He emphasized that the international visits should reinforce Jharkhand’s image as a major investment destination and open new avenues for collaboration with multinational organizations.

The meeting was attended by Minister Sudivya Kumar, MLA Kalpana Soren, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary Vandana Dadel, Cabinet Secretary Prashant Kumar, Secretary for SC/ST and Backward Classes Welfare Kripanand Jha, Industry Secretary Arwa Rajkamal, Tourism Secretary Manoj Kumar, Tribal Welfare Commissioner Kuldeep Chaudhary, Director (Mines & Geology) Rahul Sinha, MD JIADA Varun Ranjan, Industry Director Vishal Sagar, Director IPRD Rajiv Lochan Bakshi, and other senior officials.
