New Delhi: A total of 18 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from various state cadres and batches are set to retire from service in July 2025, marking a significant transition at the senior levels of Indian policing.
These officers belong to different batches and have served in key capacities across the country. Their superannuation will open up top-tier vacancies in several state police departments and central deputation posts.

- AGMUT Cadre: Vivek Gogia
- Assam-Meghalaya Cadre: R Prasad Meena
- Bihar Cadre: Amrendra Kumar
- Haryana Cadre: Manoj Kumar
- Karnataka Cadre: Malini Krishnamoorthy
- Kerala Cadre: Harinath Mishra
- Madhya Pradesh Cadre: Govind Pratap Singh
- Maharashtra Cadre: Sukhwinder Singh, A R Shinde
- Nagaland Cadre: Joseph Hesso, Yanithung Ezung
- Odisha Cadre: Arun Kumar Sarangi
- Punjab Cadre: Varinder Kumar, B Chandra Sekhar
- Rajasthan Cadre: Kalyan Mal Meena, Shyam Singh
- Tamil Nadu Cadre: Sanjay Arora
- Uttar Pradesh Cadre: Bijaya Kumar Maurya
The retirements include several Director General (DG)-level officers and those who have held strategic leadership roles in law enforcement, counter-insurgency, intelligence, and administration.
This transition is likely to trigger fresh promotions and reshuffles across central and state police organizations in the coming months.
