New Delhi: Engineers India Limited (EIL), a premier engineering consultancy and EPC company under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, has appointed Kapil Verma as the Government Nominee Director on its Board.
The appointment follows formal communication from the Ministry, conveyed via an official letter dated June 19, 2025, which stated that the Competent Authority has approved Verma’s nomination. His appointment is effective immediately and will be valid for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
About Kapil Verma
Currently serving as a Director in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Shri Kapil Verma brings with him a wealth of administrative and sectoral experience. His induction is expected to strengthen EIL’s governance and provide valuable input on energy sector priorities, public sector oversight, and infrastructure planning.

With this appointment, EIL’s board gains not just a senior bureaucratic presence but also a closer alignment with policy-making arms of the government. The company stated that requisite formalities related to the appointment are currently being completed and that further disclosures under SEBI’s Listing Regulations will be made in due course.
