Bengaluru: In a fresh round of administrative reshuffle, the Karnataka government has issued transfer and posting orders for three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, bringing changes to key departments in Bengaluru, particularly in the domains of e-Governance and Commercial Taxes.

The Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) released the official notification on Tuesday, outlining the changes in responsibilities and leadership.

Bhoobalan T Gets Additional Charge of EDCS

Bhoobalan T (IAS: 2015: KN), currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for E-Governance, Bengaluru, has been assigned additional concurrent charge as Director of the Electronic Delivery of Citizen Services (EDCS) in the DPAR (e-Governance).

He takes over from Aparna Ramesh, who has been transferred to the Commercial Taxes Department. Bhoobalan’s expanded responsibilities signify the government’s focus on strengthening the digital public service delivery framework.

Aparna Ramesh Moved to Commercial Taxes Department

Aparna Ramesh (IAS: 2021: KN), who was serving as Director, EDCS, has now been appointed as the Additional Commissioner for Commercial Taxes (Service Analysis Wing), Bengaluru. She replaces Sri Kanishka, who is also affected by the reshuffle.

Ramesh’s new role will involve leveraging her administrative experience in analytics and governance to streamline tax service operations and improve service delivery within the Commercial Taxes wing.

Kanishka Shifted to Commercial Taxes (Enforcement)

Kanishka (IAS: 2021: KN), formerly the Additional Commissioner for Commercial Taxes (Service Analysis Wing), has now been posted as the Additional Commissioner for Commercial Taxes (Enforcement), Bengaluru.

He replaces Sri Chandrashekhar Nayaka, who has been relieved due to his central deputation. Kanishka will now oversee enforcement activities related to commercial taxation, a critical role in revenue protection and regulatory compliance.
