The Karnataka government has issued transfer and posting orders for four IAS officers, with three being assigned concurrent charges in addition to their current roles, while one officer has been transferred to a new department.
The details of the postings are as follows:
- Major Manivannan P (IAS:1998:KN): Currently serving as Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Bengaluru, he has been given concurrent charge as Principal Secretary, Co-operation Department.
- V Anbukkumar (IAS:2004:KN): Serving as Managing Director, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), Bengaluru, he is now also assigned as Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Sciences and Fisheries Department.
- Manoz Jain (IAS:2006:KN): Transferred from his role as Secretary, Minority Welfare Department to Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Legal Metrology Department. He is also placed in concurrent charge of the post of Secretary, Planning, Programme Monitoring and Statistics Department.
- Salma K Fahim (IAS:2006:KN): Currently Secretary, Tourism Department, she is now given concurrent charge as Secretary, Minority Welfare Department.
These changes reflect the government’s strategic approach to optimizing administrative efficiency by assigning additional responsibilities to experienced officers.
