Thiruvananthapuram: In a minor reshuffle of top police officials, the Kerala state government, led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, has issued orders for the transfer and reassignment of three Indian Police Service (IPS) officers.
R. Nishanthini Appointed DIG (Administration)
R. Nishanthini, who has been serving as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Intelligence, has now been posted as the DIG of Police, Administration. A senior IPS officer, Nishanthini is known for her work in intelligence gathering and law enforcement operations across the state.
Jaidev G. Returns, Gets Key Dual Role
IPS officer Jaidev G., who recently completed his study leave, has been posted as the Superintendent of Police (Internal Security) in the State Special Branch. In addition to this post, he has also been given full additional charge as Inspector General (IG) of Police, Intelligence. Jaidev’s dual responsibility reflects the government’s confidence in his abilities in handling sensitive internal security matters.
Jayasankar R. Moved to Police Training College
Superintendent of Police Jayasankar R., who was serving as SP (Internal Security), State Special Branch, has now been transferred and posted as Principal of the Police Training College. The move indicates a shift towards strengthening the state’s police training infrastructure with experienced leadership.
