New Delhi: Mr KN Thakur, from NTPC, has been nominated as a member of the Training & Educational Facilities Committee (TEFC) of the Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for the year 2025.
He is currently serving as Assistant General Manager (Internal Audit) at NTPC Ltd’s Corporate Centre.
The TEFC is instrumental in promoting student-centric academic programs and will benefit from Thakur’s deep professional experience and educational commitment. As part of his role, he will be closely involved in enhancing initiatives like the 15-day Classroom Executive Development Program (EDP) and in organizing a range of academic competitions, including Company Law Quizzes, Moot Courts, and Elocution Contests. He will also assist in faculty selection processes for the region.
Mr Thakur is a Fellow Member of both the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMA) and ICSI, and has earned respect for his contributions in finance, internal audit, and governance. In a further acknowledgment of his professional stature, he has also been recently nominated to the Cost Audit and Assurance Standards Board of ICMA.
These dual appointments underscore the confidence of India’s premier professional bodies in Thakur’s capabilities and his ongoing commitment to nurturing future professionals in the domains of corporate governance and finance.
