Raipur/Bijapur: A historic moment unfolded in Kondapalli village of Bijapur district as mobile network connectivity reached the remote forest region for the first time, triggering an atmosphere of joy, dance, and emotional celebration among the villagers. After decades of isolation due to the absence of basic amenities like roads, electricity, and telecommunication, the village witnessed a new dawn brought by the Niyad Nella Nar Scheme under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai.
Decades of Waiting End as Tower Activation Sparks Village-Wide Celebration
Located on the Chhattisgarh–Telangana border, Kondapalli has long struggled without essential services. But the installation and activation of a mobile tower transformed the village overnight.
As the signal bars appeared on mobile phones, villagers gathered in a celebratory procession. The tower was worshipped with traditional rituals, while men, women, and children danced to tribal drumbeats. Surrounding villages joined the festivities, making it a collective moment of pride and joy. Security personnel also celebrated with villagers and distributed sweets.
For Kondapalli, this was not merely the arrival of mobile connectivity – it was their first real connection with the outside world.
