Indian Masterminds Stories

Raipur/Bijapur: A historic moment unfolded in Kondapalli village of Bijapur district as mobile network connectivity reached the remote forest region for the first time, triggering an atmosphere of joy, dance, and emotional celebration among the villagers. After decades of isolation due to the absence of basic amenities like roads, electricity, and telecommunication, the village witnessed a new dawn brought by the Niyad Nella Nar Scheme under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai.

Decades of Waiting End as Tower Activation Sparks Village-Wide Celebration

Located on the Chhattisgarh–Telangana border, Kondapalli has long struggled without essential services. But the installation and activation of a mobile tower transformed the village overnight.

As the signal bars appeared on mobile phones, villagers gathered in a celebratory procession. The tower was worshipped with traditional rituals, while men, women, and children danced to tribal drumbeats. Surrounding villages joined the festivities, making it a collective moment of pride and joy. Security personnel also celebrated with villagers and distributed sweets.

For Kondapalli, this was not merely the arrival of mobile connectivity – it was their first real connection with the outside world.

Mobile Network Opens the Door to Essential Services

With network availability, villagers can now access crucial services like –

  • Banking and Aadhaar
  • Ration and welfare schemes
  • Pensions and health services
  • Education and digital resources

Opportunities that once seemed distant are now within reach.

Niyad Nella Nar Scheme: Transforming Life in Remote Bastar

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s Niyad Nella Nar Scheme is rapidly bridging development gaps in sensitive and remote areas.

The scheme covers –

  • 18 community-level services from 9 departments
  • 25 individual beneficiary schemes from 11 departments
  • Reaching 403 villages around 69 new camps

This integrated approach ensures no family is left behind.

In the last two years –

  • 728 new mobile towers have been installed
  • 116 under LWE
  • 115 in aspirational districts
  • 467 under 4G network expansion
  • 449 towers upgraded from 2G to 4G

Development Momentum in Kondapalli

Since the establishment of a new camp in December 2024, the administration has been able to reach Kondapalli regularly for the first time.

Key developments include –

  • Border Roads Organisation initiating reconstruction of the long-damaged road
  • 50 km of road construction underway
  • Electricity reached the village only two months ago, transforming children’s education and livelihoods
  • Regular saturation camps ensure every eligible family receives government benefits

With connectivity, electricity, and road construction underway, Kondapalli is stepping firmly into a new era.

A Message from Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

“The arrival of a mobile network in Kondapalli is not just about a tower. It is the realization of the dreams of people who remained cut off for years.

Our government is committed to connecting every village in Bastar to development, digital access, and new opportunities. This is the dawn of an era of trust, transformation, and infinite possibilities.” – Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
