The government has approved the early repatriation of Lalit Bohra, a 1998 batch officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), to his parent cadre. This decision has been made on personal grounds and includes the imposition of an extended cooling-off period as per service regulations.
During his tenure as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Bohra played a significant role in advancing key initiatives, particularly in the areas of wind energy, offshore wind development, and the Green Energy Corridors for renewable energy transmission.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where he completed his Electrical Engineering, and Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani, where he earned an MBA in Finance, Bohra has brought substantial expertise to his work in the renewable energy sector.
His contributions to policy formulation and implementation at MNRE have been instrumental in driving progress in India’s renewable energy landscape.
