New Delhi – SBI Cards and Payment Services Ltd. has announced the appointment of Mr. Krishna Kant Bishnoi as its new Chief Risk Officer (CRO), effective July 14, 2025, as per an official regulatory filing. His appointment was made based on the recommendation of the company’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Risk Management Committee.
Mr. Bishnoi succeeds Mr. Shantanu Srivastava, who resigned from the position on July 9, 2025, and officially stepped down on the same date as Mr. Bishnoi’s appointment.

A Veteran Banker with Global Expertise
Mr. Krishna Kant Bishnoi brings over 31 years of experience in the banking sector, having served in various strategic and operational roles within the State Bank of India (SBI). He was most recently leading Business and Operations for SBI in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand before joining SBI Card.
Throughout his extensive career, he has worked across key verticals such as:
- Credit Risk Management
- Retail, SME, and Corporate Credit
- Asset & Liability Management
- Treasury and Liquidity Management
- International Banking
His past assignments include roles as Deputy General Manager (Credit Risk Management) at SBI’s Corporate Centre, Regional Manager in Mumbai, and Senior Vice President at SBI’s foreign office in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Mr. Bishnoi is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). His academic and professional credentials further include:
- MBA in Banking & Finance

- CAIIB (Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers)
- PGDFA (Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Advising) from IIB
