New Delhi: RITES Ltd, the government-owned engineering consultancy firm under the Ministry of Railways, has announced the re-appointment of Likha Togu as a Non-Official Independent Director on its Board. The re-appointment has been authorized by the Hon’ble President of India, effective from April 15, 2025, for a period of one year or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
In line with the directive from the Ministry of Railways, the Board of Directors of RITES Ltd also approved his appointment as an Additional Director (Independent Director) during its meeting held on April 17, 2025.
Likha Togu, a postgraduate from Arunachal University, brings extensive experience in social and cooperative sectors. He previously served as:
- President of the All Yachuli Student Union (AYSU), Lower Subansiri District (1993–1996)
- Chairman, Nyishi Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd. (2000–2003)
- Chairman, Likha Pon Foundation (LPF), a non-profit charitable organization (2014–2019)
Notably, he also held the position of Independent Director at RITES Ltd from January 14, 2022 to January 13, 2025, based on the prior appointment by the Ministry of Railways.
This re-appointment reaffirms RITES’ commitment to bringing in diverse leadership perspectives and leveraging Shri Togu’s experience in public service and community development for the company’s strategic growth.
