Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while announcing the development, emphasized the ecological and economic significance of the move. “The formation of the new sanctuary will give a boost to conservation efforts and conserve forests and wildlife. This will strengthen the ecosystem as well as promote tourism and create employment opportunities for the local people,” he said.
Apart from its environmental benefits, the naming of the sanctuary in honour of Dr. Ambedkar is being seen as a tribute to his legacy, linking ecological preservation with social respect and inclusion. The sanctuary is expected to enhance biodiversity conservation in the Sagar region and attract eco-tourism, thereby bringing developmental opportunities to the local communities.
