Bhopal: Addressing the inaugural session of IAS Service Meet-2025 at the Academy of Administration, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav underscored the pivotal role of administrative officers in shaping India’s democratic framework post-Independence. He credited Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for establishing the nation’s administrative system and emphasized that officers were instrumental in transitioning from the rule of kings to a modern democratic state.
Madhya Pradesh as a Hub of Innovation
CM Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s unique position within India’s federal system. “Madhya Pradesh is like a laboratory, where continuous innovations occur in multiple fields—many of which have been adopted across India and globally,” he said. He praised the coordination between state officers, the Central government, and other states in building the state’s reputation.
India’s Global Leadership and IAS Contribution
Drawing inspiration from Swami Vivekananda, CM Yadav said the 21st century belongs to India, a vision being realized under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He added that India now commands global respect and handles challenges capably. “On the strength of Indian Administrative Service officers, India stands firm on the global stage. Amid diversities, this service discharges responsibilities with strength and commitment,” he noted.
Event Highlights
The session was attended by Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, several retired officers, and IAS officers of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. During the inauguration, CM Yadav was presented with a memento.
Madhya Pradesh IAS Association President and Additional Chief Secretary Manu Shrivastava emphasized that the meet will focus on evaluating the success of new ventures and administrative initiatives. Organising committee chairman P. Narhari remarked that under CM Yadav’s leadership, state administrative work progresses with full dignity and efficiency.
