Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the State-Level Orientation & Training Programme for the ‘Gram Vikas Pakhwada’ at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre on Monday. The fortnight-long campaign, being held from 12 to 26 January under the ‘Gramodaya se Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh’ initiative, aims to strengthen rural development and bring government schemes closer to the people.
Jan Abhiyan Parishad Bridges Government and Society
Dr. Yadav highlighted the pivotal role of Jan Abhiyan Parishad in acting as a bridge between the government and society, ensuring that information about development programs and welfare schemes reaches every village. “Villages and rural communities are the pivot of the nation’s development. Strengthening them strengthens the country itself,” he said.
Two youths from each of the state’s 313 Vikas Khands are participating in the orientation program, receiving two days of training to engage with Gram Panchayats and spread awareness about government initiatives. Dr. Yadav said that launching the program on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda would inspire new energy and a sense of national service across the state.
Focus on Rural Development and Citizen Participation
The Chief Minister emphasized the need to preserve rural culture, environmental and water conservation, indigenous products, self-reliance, organic farming, and cow protection. Village-level festivals, chaupals, rallies, collective shramdaan (voluntary labor), and family outreach activities will be organized. Efforts will also focus on building an educated, value-based, socially harmonious, and addiction-free society.
Dr. Yadav urged young volunteers from Jan Abhiyan Parishad’s Navankur institutions and Prasphutan committees to take the achievements of government departments and public welfare schemes to every village, ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive the programs’ benefits.
